The News, Eats & Events Shaping Western New York |
The Buffalo Bills Foundation announced a food truck at the Resource Council of WNY on September 28, drawing attention to the team’s work beyond football.
For Buffalo residents, the key question is how people will access it.
The truck’s menu, schedule and service area have not been specified, and it is unclear whether it will make regular stops at the Resource Council or elsewhere in Western New York.
A separate Bills-connected project offers families a place they can already explore: Science Stadium Buffalo at the Buffalo Museum of Science.
The permanent, $3 million interactive exhibit uses the region’s sports culture to make science, technology, engineering and math more approachable through hands-on learning.
The two efforts do not share a stated program or schedule.
While families can return to the museum exhibit, the food truck’s impact will depend on answers about where, when and whom it will serve. Read More... |

For a quieter scare, storyteller Mason Winfield leads ghost walks through Allentown and the Theatre District.
Everhaunt Haunted House brings walk-through scares back to Angola, while Western New York Horror Con welcomes fans of the macabre.
At UB’s Center for the Arts, Ghostbusters in Concert pairs the film with a live orchestra.
Bat Boy: The Musical runs at Shea’s Smith Theater.

All proceeds will support FeedMore WNY, which provides nutritious food and skills training across Western New York.
Last year’s concerts raised $150,000, setting a high bar for the band’s second annual benefit.
Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, October 2, at 10 a.m.
John Rzeznik and Robby Takac formed Goo Goo Dolls in Buffalo in 1986, before the band went on to sell 15 million records worldwide and earn four Grammy nominations.
For local fans, the intimate shows offer a chance to hear familiar songs while helping neighbors facing food insecurity.
It’s a Buffalo homecoming with a purpose beyond the stage. Read More... |
