Buffalo’s cider festival returns Saturday, October 3, 2026, with a new waterfront setting at Sully’s Harbor Bar on Harbor Walk at Erie Basin Marina.
The seventh annual gathering runs from noon to 4 p.m., moving from its former home at The Terrace in Delaware Park.
Adults can sample hard ciders from a planned lineup that includes Black Bird Cider Works, 1911 Established, Cider Creek and local producer Smith’s Orchard.
There’s plenty beyond the tastings: live music, a clam bake, a chowder bar and apple treats are planned, along with craft beer and wine.
Face painting and children’s activities make the all-ages event a family outing, while alcoholic tastings remain for adults.
With autumn weather approaching, the harbor setting offers Buffalo residents another chance to enjoy the waterfront together. Read More... |
Café d’ Luna has opened at 220 Grant Street, bringing breakfast, coffee and a new gathering place to Buffalo’s West Side.
Known as Luna’s, the café occupies the former Sweet_ness 7 space, a corner many neighbors remember fondly.
Owners Matthew Zayas and Chiara Moslow also founded Konbini on Washington Street, and plan to add its ramen to Luna’s menu.
For now, breakfast includes avocado toast, pancakes, bacon and eggs, and harina de maíz, a sweet cornmeal porridge flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
Drinks range from Dominican Republic coffee roasted in Buffalo to matcha and morir soñando, a blend of orange juice, milk, sugar and vanilla.
With neighboring Indigo Chapel also in use, the opening brings fresh activity to a stretch of Grant Street where occupied storefronts matter.
Luna’s cannot solve the area’s challenges alone, but it gives neighbors another reason to linger. Read More... |
Rich Products has transformed an underused space at its Buffalo headquarters into a $3.2 million center where customers and employees can develop, test and showcase food ideas.
The new Customer Innovation Center on Niagara Street features a culinary studio for cooking demonstrations, product trials and hands-on problem-solving.
Photography and video spaces, along with large screens and smart displays, support training, live events and collaboration with customers who cannot visit in person.
For a global food company, the technology helps show how products work, while bringing cooks, customers and product teams together creates room for practical feedback.
The redesign also adds to Rich’s investment in the Niagara Street campus, where the Buffalo-based company plans to move ROAR Logistics into the former Oliver Gear Building.
Rich’s has also acquired the historic Curtiss Malt House property, though its future use remains undecided.
For a family-owned company rooted in Buffalo since 1945, the center brings its food expertise and local commitment into one working space. Read More... |
