Two Buffalo Food Festivals Named USA Today Best 10

The Votes are In and WNY is Looking Delicious

Buffalo's culinary scene has once again garnered national acclaim, with two of its premier food festivals earning spots in USA Today's Best 10 rankings. The Taste of Buffalo has been recognized as the #2 Best City Food Festival in the United States, marking its fourth appearance on the list since 2020. Notably, it clinched the top spot in 2023. This year's festival is scheduled for July 11 and 12, 2026, along Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo. Attendees can look forward to a diverse array of culinary offerings from over 50 local restaurants and food trucks. ([tasteofbuffalo.com](https://www.tasteofbuffalo.com/faq?utm_source=openai))

The National Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival has also been honored, securing the #5 position in the Best Specialty Food Festival category. Traditionally held over Labor Day weekend, the 2026 festival will take place earlier, on August 29 and 30, at Sahlen Field. This adjustment aims to accommodate more attendees who may have prior commitments during the holiday weekend. Festival founder Drew Cerza expressed optimism about the change, noting that it opens the door for even more wing fans to join the celebration. These accolades underscore Buffalo's rich culinary heritage and its vibrant food festival scene. Both events not only showcase the city's gastronomic delights but also contribute significantly to local charities, with the National Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival having donated over $525,000 since its inception in 2002. For those planning to attend, the Taste of Buffalo offers free admission, with food and beverages available for purchase. The National Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival provides general admission and VIP tickets, with details available on their official website.
