Toys 'R' Us Returns to Western New York with Seasonal Pop-Up at Walden Galleria |
Iconic toy retailer reopens in Buffalo area just in time for the holiday season |
Toys 'R' Us is making a festive comeback in Western New York with a seasonal pop-up shop at Walden Galleria in Buffalo.
This move is part of the company's nationwide expansion, introducing nearly 30 new locations ahead of the holiday season.
Among these are eight flagship stores and over 20 seasonal holiday shops, including the one at Walden Galleria.
Shoppers can expect a wide array of popular brands such as LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels, NERF, and Paw Patrol.
The pop-up aims to provide a joyful and convenient shopping experience for families during the peak holiday season.
In a statement, Jamie Uitdenhowen, Executive Vice President of Toys 'R' Us at WHP Global, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, noting that it brings the magic of Toys 'R' Us to more communities just in time for the holidays.
For those planning their holiday shopping, Walden Galleria has announced extended hours to accommodate the seasonal rush.
Notably, the mall will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, and will reopen on Black Friday, November 28, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Shoppers are encouraged to check with individual stores for specific hours, as they may vary.
The return of Toys 'R' Us to the Buffalo area is a significant milestone in the brand's resurgence.
After filing for bankruptcy in 2017 and subsequent liquidation, the company was acquired by WHP Global in 2021.
Since then, efforts have been underway to rebuild the brand's presence, including reopening physical stores and introducing new store formats to attract families during the holiday season.
Local shoppers can look forward to rediscovering the joy of being a Toys 'R' Us kid as they explore the new pop-up shop at Walden Galleria this holiday season. |
