Fans can take 7 swings for a $16 donation to the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation |
Buffalo's annual 716 Day Celebration is set to bring the community together at Sahlen Field on Thursday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This free event, hosted by the Buffalo Bisons in collaboration with Sahlen Packing Co. and Weber's Brand, offers a day filled with local flavors and engaging activities.
The first 716 attendees will be treated to complimentary Sahlen's Hot Dogs, a staple in Western New York cuisine. After that, hot dogs will be available for a $2 donation to the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation. Additional ballpark concessions, including the Fatty Craft Beer Corner, will also be open.
For those looking to test their batting skills, the On-Field Home Run Challenge offers a unique opportunity. Participants can take seven swings for a $16 donation to the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation. Hitting a home run over the temporary outfield line earns two free tickets to a September Bisons home game, while clearing the regulation fence awards a $25 Bisons Gift Card. A special Sahlen's target in the outfield presents an additional chance to win prizes. The challenge is open to all ages, and participants must bring their own bat and check in 15 minutes before their scheduled time.
Beyond the culinary delights and batting challenge, attendees can enjoy tours of the Bisons' home clubhouse, shop for merchandise at the Bisons gift shop, and capture photos with the iconic Weber's Brand 1969 mustard yellow convertible Firebird. This event not only celebrates Buffalo's rich heritage but also supports local charitable initiatives, making it a must-attend for residents and visitors alike. |
