Kids Can Now Feed the Giraffes at the Buffalo Zoo

A Brand New Experience to Kick off the Summer

Families seeking unique adventures can now enjoy private animal encounters at the Buffalo Zoo, offering an up-close experience with some of the zoo's most fascinating residents.

For a fee of $150, groups of up to six people can participate in these exclusive sessions. Currently, the zoo offers encounters with giraffes, rhinos, and sloths. Each session lasts approximately 25 to 30 minutes and provides an intimate look into the lives of these remarkable animals. It's important to note that these encounters require booking at least seven days in advance and do not include general zoo admission, which must be purchased separately.

To reserve an encounter, visit the Buffalo Zoo's official website, navigate to the 'Tickets' section, and select 'Encounters' to view available options. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure a smooth experience. Guests are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes during the encounter for safety.

In addition to these animal encounters, the Buffalo Zoo has recently unveiled the 'Destination Dinosaur' exhibit, running from May 2 through October 31. This immersive experience transports visitors back in time, featuring life-sized dinosaur replicas and interactive displays. It's a perfect complement to the zoo's existing attractions and offers educational fun for all ages.

These new offerings at the Buffalo Zoo provide families with memorable experiences that blend education and entertainment, making it a must-visit destination this summer.
