Introducing The Canopy at the Botanical Gardens

The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is thrilled to announce its latest addition: The Canopy, a state-of-the-art event space designed to immerse guests in nature's splendor.

With soaring ceilings and tree-top views, The Canopy offers a unique setting for various gatherings. Its wall-to-wall windows and timbered frames create an ambiance that seamlessly blends the outdoors with modern comfort. Accommodating over 250 guests, this venue is ideal for weddings, corporate events, and celebrations.

The Canopy comprises two distinct rooms: the Palm Room and the Orchid Room. Each provides sweeping vistas of Olmsted’s South Park and is bathed in natural light. These spaces can be rented individually or combined for a more expansive experience.

As part of a comprehensive $31 million expansion, The Canopy is set to open its doors in early 2027. This project also includes:

Welcome Center – A new entrance and admission center.

Solarium – A reimagined greenhouse for special events.

Terrace – An outdoor patio for events.

First-Look Garden – A private, secluded garden for special moments.

Central Courtyard – An enclosed courtyard for protected plant collections and art.

Additional Parking – North and South Parking Lots for visitors and event guests.

Sustainability Initiatives – Solar panels, stormwater management, and energy-efficient designs.

Accessibility Enhancements – A relocated entrance with a drop-off circle, all-gender and family-focused restrooms, a parents’ room, visitor lockers, and more guest-friendly amenities.
