Buffalo's premier ice rink returns with new events and classic favorites |
The Ice at Canalside is set to welcome visitors for the winter season starting November 21 in downtown Buffalo.
This year, the rink introduces a celebration of the Hallmark Channel movie "Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story" on Saturday, November 22.
Additionally, for the first time, the Ice at Canalside will be open on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Regular programming returns, including bumper cars, curling, ice bikes, and Festive Fridays.
Festive Fridays will feature weekly themes such as Harry Potter Night, PokĂŠmon, and Silent Discos.
Special Event Saturdays will include events like a Buffalo Bandits celebration, Jingle Bell Rock the Ice, and the Ice Festival.
Learn to Skate lessons are scheduled for Saturday mornings, and Kids Club Sundays will debut after the New Year.
Lauren Ford, general manager of the Buffalo Waterfront, expressed excitement about the upcoming season, noting the transition from the recent Seneca Casinos Outer Harbor Live concert series to the winter festivities.
Reservations are now open for season passes, one-day skating passes, group outings, igloo rentals, and curling.
Joan Kesner, Chairperson of the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation, highlighted the variety of weekly offerings, from theme nights to the excitement surrounding the debut of the Hallmark Channel's "A Bills Love Story."
