Accelerated Business Education Program Set to Launch in Downtown Buffalo |
The historic former Buffalo News building in downtown Buffalo is poised for a transformative new chapter as it becomes the home of the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship's second campus.
Founded by Tom Golisano, the former owner of the Buffalo Sabres, the Institute is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of entrepreneurs in Western New York.
With a mission to provide accessible and practical business education, the Institute offers a two-year professional certificate program in Business & Entrepreneurship, designed to be affordable at $8,900 per year.
Students will graduate with a certificate in business and entrepreneurship after completing the program.
"We remain committed to providing a highly focused set of business learning and experiences that students complete in just two years," said Ian Mortimer, President of the Golisano Institute.
"With our first class graduating this past August, we have evidence that the Institute's approach yields business career success, and we're excited to bring that same opportunity to students in Buffalo and across Western New York."
In a significant show of support, current Sabres owner Terry Pegula has announced plans to endow 10 scholarships for the Institute.
Applications for the fall 2026 intake are now being accepted, welcoming students from all educational backgrounds to apply.
