Western New York is gearing up to celebrate Dyngus Day on Monday, April 6, 2026, with a host of events honoring Polish heritage.
The festivities kick off at noon with the Dyngus Day Buffalo Festival in the Historic Polonia District, located between Memorial Drive and Paderewski Drive.
Attendees can enjoy live polka music, traditional Polish cuisine, and cultural performances throughout the day.
At 5:30 p.m., the 20th Annual Dyngus Day Parade will commence at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Paderewski Drive, proceeding west along Broadway and concluding near Fillmore Avenue.
Organizers anticipate a vibrant procession featuring over 100 participants and floats, celebrating the rich Polish-American heritage of the region.
In North Tonawanda, the 6th Annual Dyngus Day Parade & Post-Parade Party is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Canal Street Pavilion.
The event promises a lively atmosphere with music, dancing, and traditional Polish fare.
For those looking to participate in a more active celebration, the Dyngus Day Dash, a 5K run and walk, will take place at noon, starting at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Paderewski Drive.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance and don festive red and white attire to show their Polish pride.
Weather forecasts for Monday indicate cloudy skies with temperatures around 40°F (4°C).
Attendees are advised to dress warmly and be prepared for possible light rain during the evening hours.
