Down. Set. Hike! Explore the New Highmark Stadium While Supporting Western New York’s Health |
“At the Buffalo Bills, we believe that the passion of our fans and the strength of our community are at the heart of everything we do,” |

A walk through a football stadium usually ends at a seat, but Hike for Health asks Buffalo-area families to keep moving for a cause.
The new fundraiser brings a fresh twist to Buffalo charity walks, turning a visit to Highmark Stadium into support for healthcare across Western New York.
Set for Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event pairs Kaleida Health with the Buffalo Bills.
Participants will explore concourses, seating areas and staircases rather than watch the action from the stands.
That change of perspective is part of the appeal, especially for fans eager to experience the new stadium on foot.
Four routes offer different ways in, making this one of the more flexible Highmark Stadium events for families and groups.
The approximately half-mile Accessible Trail stays on the main concourse without elevation changes and accommodates wheelchairs and strollers.
A half-mile Family Trail, recommended for ages 5 and older, includes 100-level seating areas and moderate elevation changes.
For hikers seeking more exertion, the Moderate Trail covers about 1.5 miles, while the two-mile Advanced Trail includes substantial climbs and descents.
Choosing a route that fits matters more than finishing the toughest one.
Organizers say the goal is to welcome people who might not see themselves at a traditional charity golf outing or formal fundraiser.
Registration is $50 for adults and counts toward a $200 individual fundraising minimum.
Children under 18 can register for $20 but must hike with a registered adult.
Hikers may sign up alone, start a team or join one, bringing friends and coworkers into the effort.
Trail departures begin at 10 a.m. at 15-minute intervals, with the final departure at 1:30 p.m.; participants choose a route and time when registering.
Each participant receives a shirt, finisher medal and food-and-beverage voucher for the finish-line celebration, with additional incentives tied to fundraising.
Proceeds will help advance healthcare services, equipment and patient support across the region.
For neighbors facing difficult diagnoses or ongoing care, that purpose gives every step weight.
Pets and emotional-support animals cannot join the hike; trained service dogs and service miniature horses are permitted under stadium rules.
Come for the unusual stadium views, stay for the shared effort, and leave knowing a Buffalo walk can carry a community forward. |
