Buffalo Zoo celebrating Earth during 'Party for the Planet'

Teaming up with Tops to Care for the Planet

The Buffalo Zoo is set to host its annual Party for the Planet on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., inviting the community to celebrate Earth Day with a variety of engaging activities.

Attendees can look forward to keeper talks, animal ambassador meet-and-greets, and interactive children's activities designed to educate and inspire environmental stewardship.

Local environmental organizations will be present throughout the zoo, offering insights into conservation efforts and ways individuals can contribute to a healthier planet.

According to recent reports, the first 500 guests will receive a complimentary reusable bag, courtesy of Tops Friendly Markets, underscoring the event's commitment to sustainability.

Lisa Smith, President and CEO of the Buffalo Zoo, emphasized the institution's dedication to conservation, stating that educating visitors on sustainable practices is a source of great pride.

Similarly, Courtney Mailhot, Community Relations Manager for Tops Markets, highlighted the importance of community involvement in environmental care, expressing pride in supporting events that inspire families to take meaningful steps toward sustainability.

Regular zoo admission grants access to all Party for the Planet activities, making it an inclusive event for all attendees.
