BestSelf Opens 24/7 Crisis Stabilization Center in Buffalo to Serve All of WNY

BestSelf Behavioral Health has inaugurated the BestResponse Intensive Crisis Center, a pioneering 24/7 facility located at 430 Niagara Street in Buffalo, designed to assist individuals across Western New York facing mental health or substance use crises.

 

This center offers a calm, trauma-informed environment where individuals can receive immediate support, including counseling, medication assistance, and short-term stabilization, without the need for an appointment.

 

Clients may stay for up to 23.5 hours, focusing on stabilization and connection to ongoing care.

 

Developed in collaboration with county partners, the center aims to fill a significant gap in local behavioral health services by providing an alternative to hospital emergency rooms, which often face long wait times for assessments.

 

By offering immediate, compassionate care, the center seeks to reduce unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations and inpatient rehab stays.

 

The establishment of the BestResponse Center was made possible through substantial support, including a $250,000 grant from the Patrick P. Lee Foundation, which funded enhancements to access control and security systems.

 

Additionally, the center is part of a broader initiative to expand crisis response capabilities in the region, complementing other services like the Kirsten Vincent Respite & Recovery Center.

 

Residents of Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany counties can access the center at any time, ensuring that help is available when it's most needed.
