44th Anniversary Season of the Downtown Country Market

One of downtown’s most heralded ongoing success stories.

The Downtown Country Market is set to celebrate its 44th anniversary season, continuing its legacy as a cornerstone of downtown Buffalo's community life.

Over the years, the market has not only expanded in size but has also relocated to a prominent position at Fountain Plaza, situated along Main Street between Chippewa and Huron Streets.

Operated by Buffalo Place and presented by M&T Bank, the market has become a cherished tradition for residents and visitors alike.

Tracy Woodrow, M&T Bank's Chief Administrative Officer and Western New York Regional President, expressed pride in supporting the market, emphasizing its role in fostering opportunities for local vendors and small businesses.

She highlighted the market's contribution to creating a vibrant and welcoming space in downtown Buffalo throughout the warmer seasons.

Peter Burakowski, Executive Director of Buffalo Place Inc., noted the market's evolution alongside community needs and its commitment to supporting local growers and vendors.

He emphasized the market's role in strengthening community partnerships and providing a welcoming experience for all.

The market will operate every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting June 4 and running through October 15, 2026.

Attendees can look forward to an eclectic mix of fresh produce and fine wares, reflecting the rich agricultural heritage of the region.

In addition to the Downtown Country Market, Buffalo's summer calendar features other notable events.

The Buffalo Artisans & Flea is scheduled for June 26-28, 2026, at Terminal B at the Outer Harbor.

This event will showcase over 125 local artisans, makers, and curators, offering a diverse range of products from home goods to specialty foods.

Furthermore, the city is reintroducing Food Truck Thursdays at Niagara Square, running from May 7 through October 15, 2026.

This weekly event will feature a rotating lineup of local food trucks, providing a variety of culinary options in the heart of downtown Buffalo.

These events collectively contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of downtown Buffalo, offering residents and visitors numerous opportunities to engage with local vendors and experience the community's dynamic spirit.
