New Cohort of 43North Startups Moves into Seneca One, Buffalo

Five innovative companies join Buffalo's 43North accelerator, bringing fresh ideas and job opportunities to Western New York.

Five dynamic startups have recently established their operations in Buffalo, marking the commencement of 43North's 11th cohort.

Each company has secured a $1 million investment and is set to contribute significantly to the region's economic landscape.

RadEmploy, a New York City-based firm, is revolutionizing radiology staffing through its conversational AI platform.

Founder Joel Horsford emphasized the platform's potential to alleviate staffing shortages in healthcare, particularly in radiology departments.

By connecting imaging professionals with major hospital systems, RadEmploy aims to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Another notable addition is Floe from New Haven, Connecticut.

Specializing in smart, sensor-enabled ice and snow management systems for rooftops, Floe offers an eco-friendly solution to a common problem in regions like Buffalo.

CEO David Delall highlighted the company's plans to relocate manufacturing operations to Buffalo, citing the city's reputation for harsh winters as a strategic advantage.

The remaining members of the cohort include:

Cellsense from New York City, which transforms algae and cellulose into compostable beads to eliminate microplastics in the fashion and cosmetic industries.

Cosi Care from London, UK, creator of medical devices offering instant itch relief for individuals with eczema or chronic itch conditions.

Tukki.ai from Miami, Florida, an AI-driven platform designed to streamline immigration processes.

43North President Colleen Heidinger expressed confidence in this year's cohort, noting their maturity and readiness to engage with the local ecosystem.

She highlighted that several companies have already begun hiring and establishing connections with potential customers and investors in Buffalo.

Since its inception, 43North has invested in 74 companies, leading to the creation of over 3,000 jobs globally and raising more than $1 billion in capital.

Approximately 60% of these companies have chosen to remain in Western New York, contributing to the region's burgeoning startup ecosystem.

The arrival of these five startups underscores Buffalo's growing appeal as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

As they settle into their new home at Seneca One, the community eagerly anticipates the fresh ideas and opportunities they will bring to the area.
