UB to Host 850 Schools for its 33rd Annual Science Exploration Day |

This event offers students a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and laboratory tours led by UB researchers and local professionals. Topics will include robotics, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and genetics, aiming to ignite curiosity and inspire future careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (STEMM). Allison Brashear, vice president for health sciences and dean of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, emphasized the event's significance, stating that by opening labs and classrooms for this hands-on day of exploration, UB hopes to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and healthcare professionals. Participating students will represent 29 high schools from 23 school districts, covering nearly all of Western New York.
