King Condrell’s Has Been a WNY Icon for Decades and the Kitchen Sink Is Why

A Highlight on the Beloved Kenmore Staple

King Condrell's has been a cherished part of the Kenmore community since 1966.

Originally, Nick Condrell transformed a butcher shop on Delaware Avenue into a candy and ice cream haven.

In 1996, Rich King, a South Buffalo native, took over, blending their names to create the beloved King Condrell's.

Today, Rich, his wife Melissa, and their children, Zachary and Adriana, continue to serve the community with dedication.

Every scoop at King Condrell's is crafted from scratch, offering a wide array of homemade ice cream flavors.

Rich personally prepares all the sauces, including the renowned hot fudge and French silk.

For a true taste of Buffalo, try the Roamin' Buffalo: a scoop each of house-made chocolate and vanilla, topped with hot fudge, French chocolate sauce, homemade whipped cream, and milk chocolate buffalos.

The highlight for many is the Kitchen Sink: 16 scoops of ice cream adorned with every topping imaginable, served in an actual kitchen sink.

This colossal dessert is perfect for sharing and promises an unforgettable experience.

Beyond ice cream, the candy counter boasts over 200 varieties of handmade confections.

Favorites include European-style truffles, hand-dipped sponge candy, creams, nuts, jellies, and cherry cordials.

Notably, the Buffalo Chips—potato chips covered in peanut butter and chocolate—are a must-try.

Recently, King Condrell's underwent a significant renovation, unveiling a refreshed look that maintains its nostalgic charm.

Whether you're a longtime patron or a first-time visitor, King Condrell's continues to be a sweet destination in Western New York.
